Stormdyncer Labrador Retrievers

Labrador Retriever Dog Breeder - Mount Compass, SA

Stormdyncer Labradors is a progressive modern kennel using wholistic and tested methods of breeding sound correct Labradors of true type and excellent temperament. We are very proud of our targeted high quality breeding programme that produces correct, beautiful, sound and intelligent dogs.

Our dogs truly have beautiful sound temperaments which make them wonderful stable family companions. Ben and I are trained Obedience instructors so our dogs & puppies start their training through play and routine early.

Some of our dogs are in training for obedience titles, and our dogs accompany us to Aged care Residential facilities & Homes throughout the state. We have placed dogs into high dependency homes and some puppies occasionally show potential as assistance animals.

All of our dogs are trained and compete in the All Breeds and Labrador Specialty rings under International judges, where we have achieved Best in Group & in Show awards.

Please come and visit our family by appointment for an open & informative tour.

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? If your breed is prone to health issues, what are they, and what testing practices do you have in place?
Answer. Yes.My dogs are all xrayed by Noah’s crossing vet at 12 months of age under the Australian National breed improvement scheme for German Shepherds. We also screen our Labradors in the same way and our Prefered reader is Dr Roger Lavelle Vic

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?
Answer. Yes.We have 2 breeds of dogs at home and we also travel to our breed club ( German Shepherd dog Club of SA ) twice a week for show and Obedience trading. Our puppies accompany us there and have segregated area especially for puppy socialising on the grounds.

Answer. Yes.We have a 12 month written contract Our puppies have a written Health check at 7 weeks of age and a fit to fly certificate We recommended de sexing at 12 months of age and all information is included in a comprehensive folder.
