Health testing & screening
Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? If your breed is prone to health issues, what are they, and what testing practices do you have in place?
Answer. Yes.I health test all my breeding stock, all dogs are hip/elbow scored, DNA, eye testing.
I am aware of the genetic issues relating to my breeds and try to breed accordingly.
Preparation & socialisation
Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?
Answer. Yes.All my babies are raised in my home with interaction with my family and friends and are well socialized with my other dogs, they have a dedicated area for play with lots of different interactive toys to play with.
Placement & matching
Question. Is making sure your puppies go to the right homes a priority? How do you ensure they are placed in loving, responsible homes?
Answer. Yes.meet and greet with the new owners, general questions on the day of visiting, and I always ask them to go and think before committing to buying a new puppy as it is a life time commitment.
Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.All my puppies are sold with a limited written guarantee against developing any hereditary health defects in the first 6 months of ownership. All my puppies are sold on a non breeding/desexing agreement.
Ongoing support
Question. Do you offer ongoing support?
Answer. Yes.am only and email or phone call away for any advice needed.
Question. Do you assist the buyer with re-homing an animal that was purchased from you if they are unable to keep it?
Answer. Yes.I always offer in my contract help in rehoming of any of my puppies sold.
