Curlesque is based on the border of the Adelaide Hills and the Murraylands, 1 hour north of Adelaide, South Australia. We have bred Curly Coated Retrievers for the show ring, obedience and just members of their new families.
We do not breed for quantity.
All our dogs are tested for genetic diseases such as PRA and are hip scored when of age. Our results have always been sound results. Our dogs are extremely well socialised as we are firm believers in getting this gorgeous breed as much acknowledgement as possible.

Our standards & practices
Health testing & screening
Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? If your breed is prone to health issues, what are they, and what testing practices do you have in place?
Answer. Yes.Both dog and bitch are hip scored for suitability. DNA tested for Progressive Retinal Atrophy and Exercise Induced Collapse. No animals are bred from if they do not meet recommendations within testing
Preparation & socialisation
Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?
Answer. Yes.Make sure that they are well socialised in whatever way possible.
Placement & matching
Question. Is making sure your puppies go to the right homes a priority? How do you ensure they are placed in loving, responsible homes?
Answer. Yes.Speak to all potential buyers and make sure they are aware of breed requirements and general puppy/dog necessities, eg yard size, exercise and feeding requirements.
Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.Advise all puppy buyers that I am willing to have the puppy/dog returned if, for whatever reason, they can no longer care for it.
Ongoing support
Question. Do you offer ongoing support?
Answer. Yes.Willing to speak with puppy buyers at any time and happy to pay for vet examinations to determine any veterinary issues
Question. Do you assist the buyer with re-homing an animal that was purchased from you if they are unable to keep it?
Answer. Yes.Would expect the puppy to be returned to me for re-homing. Advise all puppy buyers of this.
