Swedish Vallhund Dog Breeder - Ascot, VIC

Breeding Swedish Vallhunds is a passion and we strive to be the best at what we do. Lifetime support, help with any problem, please call or email, we love talking Vallhunds.

It all began when our daughter wanted a dog to do obedience with, at the time we competed in obedience and agility with Rottweilers and Dobermans. We sat our daughter down with a dog book and she picked out the Swedish Vallhund.

It took quite some time to convince Sheila Haddon of Norsled Kennels that we were the right people for her puppy, we kept in touch and while talking to and visiting Sheila I began to fall under the spell of the dog of the Vikings. Norsled Sonny CD came into our lives, he and my daughter were soon inseparable, Dinkum as he was known at home, would track her down wherever she was on the farm, he followed her and the other kids when they went out on their horses. I soon learnt that Vallhunds are a breed apart.

Our daughter titled Dinkum in Novice Obedience and Dink became the first vallhund in Australia to gain an obedience title, a great effort from a young girl who lived in a small town with no obedience club and only her parents and sheep to offer distractions. So here we are 33 years later and the passion has not diminished, as much as I learn about these incredible dogs, the more I realise I will never know it all. They never cease to amaze me as they really are not like any other breed I have been involved with.

The Vallhund is close to my idea of perfection, ring me and find out more about The Dog of The Vikings.
