Aquadane Kennels, Registered Breeders of Great Danes with Dogs Queensland since early 2000.
Our Danes are beautiful solid and strong giants of fantastic temperament and health, originating from some of the best European lines.
We have imported eight Great Danes from Europe as well as the frozen semen of a number of carefully selected European Great Danes.
We live on the Capricorn Coast of Central Queensland on a property of over 500 acres where we have pasture paddocks, a creek and quite a large area of tropical rain forest. Our Danes share their lives with dairy and beef goats, sheep, Alpacas, cattle, chooks, our Livestock Guardian dogs and a variety of wild life.
Living in this type of environment has allowed our dogs to enjoy the space and freedom to run and play, to swim in the dams and creek, to roll in the mud and to learn to respect and interact with other farm animals. Although we are aware that sometimes there is "a little bit of salivation" when in close proximity to the goats or sheep, no Dane has ever hurt any of them and in fact they play with them in an incredibly gentle way.
Our dogs are part of our family and our lives. We do not believe in having our dogs living in a kennel their whole life. They are our "four legged children" and although they are likely to be put in a kennel if we are away, they live in our home most of the time. The closeness allows us to connect with and know each dog well. It also allows us to develop a strong and loving relationship with each of them and provide basic training and socialization with people of all ages, who visit our home.

A little more about our Great Danes:
Although we commenced this exciting venture with Australian bred Danes, we soon realized that we needed to diversify our genetic pool, improve temperament, health, size and the substance of our dogs. We started looking at the European Danes and after years of research, we began importing dogs and the frozen semen of carefully selected Stud Dogs from countries such as Croatia, Hungary, Denmark, England, Ireland, Hungary and Russia through the USA.
As the result of importing dogs and frozen semen from overseas, has also allowed us to develop close contact and strong relationships with some of Europe's most successful Breeders, with whom we are in regular contact.
