Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? If your breed is prone to health issues, what are they, and what testing practices do you have in place?
Answer. Yes.Puppies have an extensive vet check before going to their new homes. I use Orivet for DNA and genetic testing of all my breeding dogs. My bitches only have a max of 2 litters in 18 months as per guidelines of Dogs Vic. Bitches are health checked and X-rayed prior to mating and checked post whelping

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?
Answer. Yes.Puppies are properly socialised. They are raised in the house and are exposed to our own family dogs and cats and all the noises associated with a busy household

Placement & matching

Question. Is making sure your puppies go to the right homes a priority? How do you ensure they are placed in loving, responsible homes?
Answer. Yes.I adhere to Dogs VIC guidelines in regard to providing a health guarantee. I also conduct a verbal interview to make sure they are suitable homes and understand the responsibility of raising a puppy. It is a high priority to find suitable loving homes. I also like a referral if possible
Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.I provide a health guarantee as outlined with Dogs Victoria. I also conduct verbal interviews to access the suitability of the homes

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support?
Answer. Yes.I am here to help with any questions, queries or concerns that a new puppy owner might have. It can be overwhelming getting a new puppy so any support I can offer to make that process easier for people I will do.
Question. Do you assist the buyer with re-homing an animal that was purchased from you if they are unable to keep it?
Answer. Yes.The puppy's well-being is my number one priority, if the buyer can not look after the pup I will do what I can to help rehome them
