We are a small, family owned kennel, breeding for excellent health, conformation and temperament of our chosen breeds. We are very proud to share that our kennel has produced quality pets, Healthy breeding dogs, Therapy Dogs and an Assistance Dog!

Our dogs and their pups are raised inside our home to ensure they are well adapted to different noises, household routines are other animals. Our aim is to produce sound temperament, regardless of the breed. We commence toilet training to fake grass or a pet loo, to ease the training for the new owners.

We complete relevant health checks for each breed prior to breeding, to ensure we are producing quality, healthy pups.

Breeder Questionnaire

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? Do you have sensible, sustainable breeding strategies in place to promote the health of your dogs and puppies?

Yes

We ensure that all of our dogs are appropriately health tested and only ever breed with dogs that have been health tested. Our girls are rested between litters and only breed when we are wanting to produce pups for a specific reason.

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?

Yes

Our pups are raised in our home, with our children and other animals to ensure we are breeding quality pups who are well socialised.

Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?

Yes

We ask that all prospective buyers offer information about themselves to help us determine if our breed is what they are looking for. We ensure that our pups are sold with a contract outlining the care requirements of both breeder and owner, de-sexing agreement and personal meet and greet before a sale is confirmed.

Question. Is ensuring that your puppies go to the right home a high priority? What type of measures do you take to ensure your dogs and puppies are going to go to loving homes?

Yes

We will not sell puppies to people who only request photos of puppies without offering information about themselves, what attracted them to the breed and what attracted them to our puppies.

Yes

All puppy families are invited to join our Parents of Therapaws Facebook page for support. We also offer families a lifetime of support for the life of the dog.

We assist the buyers to rehome the dogs should something unforeseen come up that causes the end of the dogs placement with the family.
