For over 27 years Terralongi Dachshunds have been bred in our spacious shire registered country kennels, located north east of Perth, in Western Australia. We are proud of our breeding and ongoing support to our clients. Terralongi Kennels continue to work very hard to improve the breeding of Mini Smooth Dachshunds by refining, temperament and conformation.

Health testing & screening
Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? If your breed is prone to health issues, what are they, and what testing practices do you have in place?
Answer. Yes.Yes we test for PRA have no affected dogs and are working to eliminate carriers from our breeding program.
Preparation & socialisation
Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?
Answer. Yes.We have our pups in the home and they regularly interact with family and guests.
Placement & matching
Question. Is making sure your puppies go to the right homes a priority? How do you ensure they are placed in loving, responsible homes?
Answer. Yes.We require a questionnaire to be completed prior to viewing. our pups are registered with a pedigree on the ANKC limited register (not for breeding, export or show unless sold to a fellow ANKC registered breeder.
We also interview potential purchasers prior to agreeing to a sale of any pup or dog.
Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.All our pups have a complete vet Health check a fit to fly certificate and are guaranteed to be healthy and not to gave any defects

Answer. Yes.We have been breeding registered dogs since the early 1990s, have offered support including advise and accommodation to our former pups
Question. Do you assist the buyer with re-homing an animal that was purchased from you if they are unable to keep it?
Answer. Yes.We have re homed many dogs that were not able to be kept by their owners.
