Maine Coon Cat Breeder - Mullaquana, SA

We are a small ethical breeder of quality and healthy Maine Coons located on a 5 acre property in rural South Australia. We are registered with the GCCFSA - Governing Council of the Cat Fancy South Australia and abide by their code of ethics.

Our cats have lots of love to share and make excellent family pets. All kittens have been raised with love and care as part of our family, handled every day from birth and have been introduced to other cats, humans and everyday noises.

We breed all colours and patterns in Maine Coons. All of our breeding Kings and Queens have been DNA tested for all known genetic diseases, have had their hearts scanned, and hips scored.

Our breeding cats come from quality imported lines from all over Australia and New Zealand, and we are looking into importing some breeding cats in the future.

Our kittens leave us with all of their vet work completed:
Desexed, Microchipped, Vaccinated, Flea treated, Wormed, Vet checked
They also come with a kitten pack to help get you started.

We regularly update our social media platforms, so it is worth checking out our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Please feel free to message me with any questions.

Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Answer. Yes.All of my breeding cats are DNA tested through Orivet, for all known genetic diseases. All of my cats are kept up to date with vaccinations and health checks and are flea treated and wormed regularly.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Answer. Yes.My kittens are raised in my home, with myself, my mother and our other cats. We often have people coming to visit us, to catch up and play with our babies. Our kittens are well socialised, playful and cuddly.

Placement & matching

Question. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.I like to talk to any potential buyers over email, phone call or video call where I will ask many detailed questions before allowing them to adopt one of our precious babies. We will keep in regular touch with kitten families, and if any issues arise we are there to help.
Question. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide?
Answer. Yes.Desexing is mandatory, and all kittens come with pedigree papers. We interview all potential buyers over call, email, message or video call. Our kittens must be kept indoors, unless in a safe outdoor enclosure. We give lifetime support and love to hear updates on our babies.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Answer. Yes.We offer lifetime support, and are always there if our kitten's families need help or advice, no matter the age of the cat.
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a kitten or cat if for some reason the new family are unable to care for it?
Answer. Yes.Yes, I will always help in rehoming one of our kittens or cats.
