We at Spotadot are passionate about Dalmatians and have been around the beautiful breed for 30+ years.

We prefer our dogs to be part of our family and for that reason they are not kennelled. Dalmatians are the type of dog that loves to be involved in everything that their owners do.

Breeder Questionnaire

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? Do you have sensible, sustainable breeding strategies in place to promote the health of your dogs and puppies?

Yes

DNA testing all breeding dogs including LUA for the Dalmatians. BAER testing all breeding dogs and all pups. Only breed from dogs that have full hearing BAER.

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?

Yes

Pups are bought up in a family home with children. Our dogs are inside dogs and the pups are bought up the same.

Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?

Yes

Desexing must be completed after 18 months for males, 12 months for females due to Urate stones.

Question. Is ensuring that your puppies go to the right home a high priority? What type of measures do you take to ensure your dogs and puppies are going to go to loving homes?

Yes

We have a questionnaire that all potential owners must complete prior to any contact. We then talk over the phone or facetime to get an understanding of what they are looking for and if any of our pups are the right fit. I will not send a dominant pup to a home where they already have a dominant dog etc.
