Spotadoll Ragdolls

Ragdoll Cat Breeder - Burpengary, QLD

Spotadoll Ragdolls breeds and shows quality Ragdolls. Having owned Ragdolls for over 15 years we have just started our breeding journey in 2021. Currently breeding and showing Dalmatians under Spotadot Dalmatians we decided to add these beautiful felines. Our main priority is ensuring the health and well-being of all our animals from birth until they leave with their forever family - and beyond.

Our baby animals are far more than a business to us - they're family. We breed responsibly and pay special attention to minimizing the known hereditary diseases by having all our parent animals health tested by a certified vet.

Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Answer. Yes.All our cats are Full Breed Profile DNA tested via Orivet. HCM & PKD being the main concerns for Ragdoll. All studs and queens must be clear before breeding.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Answer. Yes.Our kittens are raised in a family environment, with my two young children. They are inside only and have full access to anywhere in the house.

Placement & matching

Question. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.I have a verbal conversation via phone and even Facetime so they can see the kitten. We make sure that the kitten will be the right fit for their family. I'm not going to send a shy kitten that hides to a family that has 6 loud kids.
Question. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide?
Answer. Yes.kitten agreement must be signed prior to a kitten going to it's new home. This outlines everything that they are responsible for and anything that I am responsible for.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Answer. Yes.We offer lifetime support where the owners can contact me about any concerns.
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a kitten or cat if for some reason the new family are unable to care for it?
Answer. Yes.Will help them find a new home if the time ever comes.
