Rottweiler Dog Breeder - Barossa , SA

Schwartzhund Rottweilers ANKC Registered Rottweiler Breeder - Breeders Prefix Est 1994 - Dogs SA Member No 5000095840 - Small, Consistent, Competitive and Proud Breeder / Exhibitor of Purebred ANKC Pedigree Rottweiler Puppies - Member No 5000095840 - Member of The Rottweiler Club of South Australia.

All puppies are sold under Breeders Sales Terms, including a desexing clause. I have found this desexing clause a necessity as there are dog dealers who purchase puppies for the sole purpose to on sell to the likes of Puppy Farms/Mills; I WILL NOT contribute to their profits or be party to the disgusting treatment of their animals! Nor do I wish to contribute to the ever increasing number of dogs on death row in Animal Welfare Shelters across the country due to the 'ill-informed' breeding from any of my puppies.

Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? If your breed is prone to health issues, what are they, and what testing practices do you have in place?
Answer. Yes.All Breeding Stock are screened for Hereditary Diseases (including JLPP & SAS) and Certified 'Breed Worthy' in accordance with The National Rottweiler Council Breed Survey Scheme.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?
Answer. Yes.Schwartzhund Rottweiler Puppies are socialised and exposed to as many noises, environments and people of all ages.

Placement & matching

Question. Is making sure your puppies go to the right homes a priority? How do you ensure they are placed in loving, responsible homes?
Answer. Yes.Any initial enquires received via Text or e-mail will not be responded to. I feel texts & e-mails are too impersonal as I like to have an insight into you as a person as a potential owner of one of my babies. I do not breed to fulfil "Pet Orders", I breed only to advance my lines! Puppies are NOT available "off the shelf" and will only be available to genuine homes who are able to satisfy my criteria. A Schwartzhund Rottweiler is another family member not just a Dog! In the 24 years since Schwartzhund Rottweilers Prefix has been registered I have bred only 9 litters, testament to my ongoing commitment to breed only for the improvement of The Rottweiler.
Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.All puppies are sold under Breeders Sales Terms, including a desexing clause.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support?
Answer. Yes.Prospective puppy owners and owners alike are always welcome to ask questions and I will endeavour to answer with sincerity and honesty - if I don’t have all the answers be assured I will do my best to find them!
Question. Do you assist the buyer with re-homing an animal that was purchased from you if they are unable to keep it?
Answer. Yes.As a part of my sales contract I MUST BE THE FIRST POINT OF CONTACT FOR WHATEVER REASON ONE OF MY PUPPIES REQUIRE RE- HOMING - Since 1994 when Schwartzhund Prefix was first Registered I have had one return through a relationship breakdown....
