I am a Registered Breeder with NSWCFA located in the Hills District, NSW.

I have been breeding kittens for over 10 years. I first started breeding Ragdolls now I am breeding British Shorthair Kittens. I breed assorted colours of Blue, Chocolate, Lilac and Silver Shaded. I am a small Boutique Breeder with 6 cats, I do not over breed my cats. My adult cats have been DNA tested for Genetic traits.

Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Answer. Yes.My cats have been genetically tested for ALPS and PKD and are negative. They are vaccinated, wormed and flea treated. I keep my kittens for 12 weeks.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Answer. Yes.My Kittens and their mother are inside my house with me and not in cages. My family and friends play with them and they get lots of cuddles.

Placement & matching

Question. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.I discuss with potential buyer my kittens are strictly indoor cats and need to be fed 3 times a day and have plenty of toys and a cat scratcher. My kittens are not to be left alone for extended long periods of time and need to be in a clean and safe environment.
Question. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide?
Answer. Yes.My kittens are health checked and desexed prior to leaving, if kitten is unwell when in owners care I can be contacted and I will help and give advice on the next step to get the kitten well again. I also give 6 weeks free pet insurance. Owner can continue with this insurance after the 6 weeks at a cost to them.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Answer. Yes.I give on going support by phone, text or email and are happy to discuss and concerns or questions by the kittens new owner at any time.
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a kitten or cat if for some reason the new family are unable to care for it?
Answer. Yes.I can advertise cat or kitten on my FB page, or advise what to do regarding rehoming.
