Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? If your breed is prone to health issues, what are they, and what testing practices do you have in place?
Answer. Yes.hip/elbow/eye/mouth certification, heart testing, DNA testing for Rottweiler specific diseases. So far all dogs in our breeding program are clear. Healthy dogs in body and mind is utmost in our minds when breeding. We adhere to a stricter code of ethics by following the National Rottweiler Council's health rules.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?
Answer. Yes.we do as much as we can to safely socialise our puppies in their first 8 weeks of life, adjusting them to noises and occurences as much as possible that they will be exposed to in later life.

Placement & matching

Question. Is making sure your puppies go to the right homes a priority? How do you ensure they are placed in loving, responsible homes?
Answer. Yes.we have our puppies temperament tested to ensure the best fit of puppy to the home. We choose which puppy goes to which home, and explain to the buyer our reason for selecting that puppy for them.
Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.guarantee and sales contract, buyer questionnaire and personal and verbal interview. We ask buyers to wait until the puppy is mature enough before desexing.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support?
Answer. Yes.
Question. Do you assist the buyer with re-homing an animal that was purchased from you if they are unable to keep it?
Answer. Yes.we ask that buyers contact us in the first instance if they are no longer able to keep their dog.
