Breeder Questionnaire

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? Do you have sensible, sustainable breeding strategies in place to promote the health of your dogs and puppies?

Yes

hip/elbow/eye/mouth certification, heart testing, DNA testing for Rottweiler specific diseases. So far all dogs in our breeding program are clear. Healthy dogs in body and mind is utmost in our minds when breeding. We adhere to a stricter code of ethics by following the National Rottweiler Council's health rules.

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?

Yes

we do as much as we can to safely socialise our puppies in their first 8 weeks of life, adjusting them to noises and occurences as much as possible that they will be exposed to in later life.

Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?

Yes

guarantee and sales contract, buyer questionnaire and personal and verbal interview. We ask buyers to wait until the puppy is mature enough before desexing.

Question. Is ensuring that your puppies go to the right home a high priority? What type of measures do you take to ensure your dogs and puppies are going to go to loving homes?

Yes

we have our puppies temperament tested to ensure the best fit of puppy to the home. We choose which puppy goes to which home, and explain to the buyer our reason for selecting that puppy for them.
