RAGGYSANDME - PEDIGREE RAGDOLLS - NEWCASTLE RAGDOLLS NSW

Ragdoll Cat Breeder - Newcastle, NSW

Raggysandme
also known as Newcastle Ragdolls.

My name is Donna Maree and I have been a registered breeder of the beautiful Ragdolls for the past 15 years, breeding the highest of quality, beautifully natured Ragdoll kittens.

I do not work outside my home which enables me to devote myself fully to the breeding and raising of my beautiful cats and kittens, and I am available for any challenges that may arise and there to frequently handle my kittens which is so important for their socialization to achieve the wonderful temperament that the Ragdolls are renowned for.

My kittens will be desexed, micro-chipped, fully vaccinated F3, they will be tick, flea, worm, and ear mite treated as well as toilet trained. My kittens will have been health checked and receive a certificate of good health from my veterinarian to go home with their kitten.

I DNA test for PKD (Polycystic kidney disease) and HCM (Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) and this is clear by parentage, these are potentially deadly diseases that can be passed on to the kittens. My breeding cats are DNA tested and free of these genetic markers.

Kittens will be registered with ANCATS and will receive pedigrees.

Family's will receive information sheets in advance of their kittens leaving for home, on every aspect of their kittens needs, you will leave confident, even if it is your first kitten and I am only a phone call away for any ongoing support after your kitten leaves for home for as long as needed.

Answer. Yes.Regular health checks on all adults and kittens.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Answer. Yes.All kittens are brought up inside my home.

Placement & matching

Question. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.My kittens usually sell before they are born or at an early age so there is frequent contact with the new familys and I only go ahead if I feel the familys are suitable.
Question. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide?
Answer. Yes.Yes to all of the above, but all kittens are desexed without exception unless going to a another registered breeder for breeding purposes.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Answer. Yes.Yes I offer unlimited support even if the cat is years old.
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a kitten or cat if for some reason the new family are unable to care for it?
Answer. Yes.I can place the add and photo of the cat for the owners and also on my website. This seldom happens.
