Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Answer. Yes.I'm aware of the PRA disease, which our queens and possible studs are tested for and all negative. We try to avoid mating with a positive stud. We show to the future owner the health test made on the queen and how healthy they are. If they have questions, I'm happy to help.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Answer. Yes.Our kittens are indoor only, which means they are part of our household routine. My 7 years old autistic son helps taking care of the kittens. We have 2 cats pets and they also are sociable with the queens. Queens also have the freedom to sleep on the bed they want, they can choose between mine, my son's and their own little beds spread throughout the house.

Placement & matching

Question. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.Yes, siameses and orientals are the dogs from the cat world and they don't suit all types of people. So I make sure the person won't leave the cat alone for many long periods of time.
Question. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide?
Answer. Yes.Sales contract, which includes all this information. I'm also available for any concerns or doubts the new owner might have.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Answer. Yes.
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a kitten or cat if for some reason the new family are unable to care for it?
Answer. No.Unless the directly ask for help.

Clubs & Associations

Question. Are you a current member of any breed clubs and/or associations?
Answer. Yes.CatsWA. Also with the mentorship of Pamela Lanigan, who breeds British Shorthair and has a very good mentorship program called Cat Breeding For Beginners.
