Migaloo Bengals is a Bengal Cat breeder located in South East Queensland. They have been involved in the Bengal breed since 1991, firstly in Europe and now in Australia and have worked with the early generations F1, F2 etc along with the Asian Leopard Cat.
They have served on the committee of feline registering bodies around the world and have been President of various Cat Clubs.

Along with producing numerous worldwide Champions Migaloo Bengals have featured in a number of magazines and newspaper articles. You can see their bengals featured on the RACQ billboards, modelling for Pablo cat harnesses and various other media outlets . They have sold cats to a number of famous faces around the world.

Migaloo Bengals breed to preserve the future of our breed and are strict on producing healthy kittens that are health tested for PRA-b/PKDef and heart defects especially HCM which unfortunately is a large problem in the breed.
All the kittens are raised in their home with plenty of environmental enrichment and love. They offer a lifetime of support and will take your kitten back if your circumstances change at anytime.

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Answer. Yes.They test for PKDef and PRAb. They also do annual heart screening with a Veterinary Heart Specialist who checks for any heart problems which most importantly includes HCM

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?

Placement & matching

Question. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.Background checks (as far as possible) to ascertain how many other cats they already have. Questioned over where kitten will live - indoor / outdoor. Question prospective buyer with regards to if they intend to take out Pet insurance. What research have they already done about the breed. Dietary requirements - do they intend to follow a raw diet or kibble etc
Question. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide?
Answer. Yes.Kittens are de-sexed before sale. Buyer questionnaire is utilised.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Answer. Yes.Guidance and information is always available on the breed regardless of if you have bought a kitten from Migaloo or from another breeder.
