Welcome to Luxafel Ragdolls
My names Susan, owner of Luxafel Ragdolls.

Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Answer. Yes.We DNA test all our breeding cats in our cattery for PKD and HCM.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Answer. Yes.Absolutely, our kittens are surrounded with love from the minute they are born. I am with my Queens at every birth, ready to assist if needed🥰 Every litter is born in my room, where all they know is love from birth. With a dedicated kitten nursery for them once they are older, they enjoy lots of playtime once old enough. Once kittens are old enough to roam safely, my whole house becomes their playground!! All our kittens are raised indoors (cage free) where they run a muck! They are a part of our family until they leave and become a part of yours ❤️

Placement & matching

Question. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.YES, absolutely. I ask everyone to fill out my kitten application to get to know them better and make sure they are ready for the responsibility of a Luxafel kitten. I screen everyone who wants a kitten and ensure they go to only the best homes where they are not just a cat, they are going to be a large part of your family for a very long time.
Question. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide?
Answer. Yes.Kittens leave with a Luxael Ragdolls kitten folder that includes paperwork and information including genuine 4-generation pedigree papers, insurance policy, food and other info around vaccinations, worming and desexing certificates along with kitten food, toys and more.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Answer. Yes.I am always here for my extended Luxafel family if they need me ❤️ I have a Luxafel FB group that my kitten buyers are invited to join if they like where they can share photos and funny stories or anything they like. They can get to meet other Luxafel kitten/cat owners and always are welcome to stay in touch with me, they have my phone number and we text regularly ❤️
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a kitten or cat if for some reason the new family are unable to care for it?
Answer. Yes.Yes, I definitely would help with rehoming and have before. I understand that sometimes things change and we must make hard decisions, I only ask that if an owner's situation ever changes and they can no longer care for a cat I bred that they please contact me, I will always do my best to help rehome him/her.
