Jendrika chihuahuas is a small in-house kennel. We breed beautiful short and long coat chihuahuas and raise all of our babies in our home. All puppies come well socialised with adults and children, and are vet checked, microchipped, vaccinated, and come with ANKC pedigree papers.

Our standards & practices
Health testing & screening
Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? If your breed is prone to health issues, what are they, and what testing practices do you have in place?
Answer. Yes.All puppies are vet check and DNA tested for parentage prior to going to their new homes. All our breeding males and females are fully DNA tested for health screening, they are also vet cleared for all health issues annually.
Preparation & socialisation
Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?
Answer. Yes.Our chihuahuas are our family pets first and foremost. Our puppies are born and raised in our home as part of our family. They enjoy playtime, couch time, and are also given space to play with their own kind. We have two children who help to socialise all our puppies and dogs.
Placement & matching
Question. Is making sure your puppies go to the right homes a priority? How do you ensure they are placed in loving, responsible homes?
Answer. Yes.To ensure puppies are going to the right home for them, I ask the potential new owner(s) questions to make sure they are breed aware and that the puppy or dog in question is right for their home.
Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.All new owners are given lifetime support and advice and are interviewed or met (if in the same state) prior to puppy placement to ensure they are the right fit for the breed and the individual puppy or dog. All puppies come with a health guarantee and a desexing agreement is used for all puppies going to pet homes.
Ongoing support
Question. Do you offer ongoing support?
Answer. Yes.All new owners are encouraged to send me updates and to contact me with any questions throughout the lifetime of their pet.
Question. Do you assist the buyer with re-homing an animal that was purchased from you if they are unable to keep it?
Answer. Yes.Making sure our dogs are puppies are happy and well looked after is our priority. If any of our placed pets require rehoming, I would hope to be informed so I can help with the process to ensure a great new and long-lasting home is found for them.
