Jaylbro Border Collies is a small kennel situated in the Rural Darwin area and we have puppies available on occasions to selected homes only.
Our dogs are not kept in a kennel situation, they live with us in the home as a family. At Jaylbro we believe in feeding our Border Collies an All Natural Diet so they live a long and healthy life.
All Jaylbro breeding stock are Fully DNA profiled with Orivet for CL, CEA & TNS & hip/elbow scored. We will not breed any stock without being tested clear or clear through parentage.
Here at Jaylbro we specialise in breeding for conformation, temperament & type. We do not sell our puppies to Backyard Breeders, Pet Shops, or Puppy Mills.

Health testing & screening
Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? If your breed is prone to health issues, what are they, and what testing practices do you have in place?
Answer. Yes.Parents are hip/elbow scored and OCD. Parents are clear by parentage or DNA tested for CEA,CL & TNS.
Preparation & socialisation
Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?
Answer. Yes.With in a family environment.
Placement & matching
Question. Is making sure your puppies go to the right homes a priority? How do you ensure they are placed in loving, responsible homes?
Answer. Yes.A lot of it is word of month and people who have had my pups before. They need to have fence and I must meet them.
Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.Pups are to be desexed if not used for breeding purposes. In any instance if you cannot keep your puppy it is to come back to me for rehoming. This is all listed on the puppy form.
Ongoing support
Question. Do you offer ongoing support?
Answer. Yes.In the feeding guide I have listed that if the need help with anything I am happy to assist.
Question. Do you assist the buyer with re-homing an animal that was purchased from you if they are unable to keep it?
