Qld Feline Assoc Inc registered breeder of Persian and Exotic Shorthair cats. We are a small boutique breeder, focused on loving, affectionate cats, raised by our loving family with boys that are diagnosed with Autism. All our kittens are breed and raised in our busy family home.

We regularly attend cat shows and would love to meet you personally, it's a fun day.

Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Answer. Yes.All queens have vaginal swap before breeding. Must be min 12 months old, have 1 litter per year. Fully vaccinated, wormed and Orivet tested negative to Polycystic Kidney Disease.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Answer. Yes.Yes, They are bred as part of our family of 5.kittens are socialised with other animals, kids, loud noises and lots and lots of cuddles. We have 2 Autistic boys. Once they are 12 weeks old, they are regularly shown at Cat shows

Placement & matching

Question. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.Strictly indoors; We have a questionnaire that must be completed
Question. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide?
Answer. Yes.We pride ourselves on healthy, clean, calm kittens that is fully weaned and toilet trained. Our babies come fully vaccinated, Desexed and socialised with 6 weeks free pet insurance. As the new owner you’ll also receive the kitten's pedigree registration certificate as well as the vaccination and desexing certificate signed by a Vet proving that your kitten has received at least one 3-in-1 (flu and feline enteritis) vaccination. You’ll also receive a Kitten Care Guide Chart, indicating what you baby eats, when they were last wormed, grooming information, when the annual vaccinations are due.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Answer. Yes.We are available and also have a facebook group for support.
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a kitten or cat if for some reason the new family are unable to care for it?
Answer. Yes.We would prefer to interview any new owners, to ensure compatibly.
