Burmese Breeder - Cats - NSW : Perfect Pets Profile

I am a small registered Burmese Breeder situated between Hornsby and the Central Coast in NSW. My kittens are raised in my home and are beautiful, healthy and loving well adjusted kittens which is evident when you see them.

Breeder Questionnaire

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Yes
Regular Vet checks. I weigh each kitten daily for the first 6 weeks to ensure they are feeding properly & without problems. My cats are housed inside our house in a healthy & clean environment. I consider that I have sensible breeding strategies in place.
Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Yes
Our kittens are loved, handled and cuddled from birth. Raised in our loungeroom and on a daily basis we spend time playing and watching them develop into beautiful little kittens. After the Birthing Box they are housed in a larger enclosure in our Loungeroom and then let free to roam the room to play and explore. A most enjoyable time (for us) !!!
Question. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide?
Yes
I enclose a health check from the Vet with a guarantee or warranty. I also have a fact sheet that I email to prospective buyers.
Question. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview?
Yes
With Kittens chosen from birth - I email weekly photos to the new owners, showing the growth and updates on their progress. Verbal interview also with the advice to keep the cats inside. If I am not happy, I do not sell.
Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Yes
As well as talking to the new owners about caring for their new kitten, I supply a fact sheet clearly describing the food, litter and care of their new kitten. I also have a follow-up with email/phone on the progress. of the kitten and am happy to answer any questions that may arise.
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a kitten or cat if for some reason the new family are unable to care for it?
Yes
Although I have not had this happen, I would gladly rehome a kitten if not suitable.
Question. Do you offer pet insurance?
No
