Welcome to Calidora! We are a ANKC registered breeder of Golden Retrievers located on acreage in the south-east of Melbourne, Victoria.

Our focus as a small family kennel is the health and temperament of our puppies, who have been raised alongside our kids in a loving home environment.

We strive to continually showcase the best of the Golden Retriever breed with all our dogs having extensive health checks, as well as desirable and lovable natures.

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? Do you have sensible, sustainable breeding strategies in place to promote the health of your dogs and puppies?

We extensively health check our dogs, with clear heart and eye certificates from leading vet specialists in Victoria, along with excellent hip and elbow scores. We also complete genetic screenings to ensure all our pups are free of conditions such as Ichthyosis.

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?

Yes

Our puppies are raised in our family home, alongside our children and so are socialised from an early age. We also ensure the pups are able to engage in an enriching environment with a variety of different stimuli to help improve their confidence and sense of security.
