We've been involved with pedigree dogs for 25 years and Staffords for the last 15 years.

All our dogs are DNA parentage confirmed & clear of HC, L2-HGA & DM (The only DNA health tests available for staffords).

We aim to breed dogs of good type who make excellent family companions. We do not have commercial kennels and are home based hobby breeder who breeds with the intention of retaining a puppy from the litter to show/breed NOT for profit.

Breeder Questionnaire

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? Do you have sensible, sustainable breeding strategies in place to promote the health of your dogs and puppies?

Yes

DNA testing (I'm also an Orivet Collector so stay up to date with latest news), I have 15 years in SBT & 25 years in pedigree dogs I was mentored as teenager from a experienced breeder regarding genetics and breeding strategies to avoid these issues. I am also very interested in DNA & genetics and spend free time reading varies studies/papers to further my knowledge. As a registered breeder with Dogs Queensland I have to abide by their code of ethics in regards to breeding ages, care & number of litters. The local council also inspect my property to maintain my permit and must meet minimum standards for enclosures, mental stimulation, exercise, care etc.

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?

Yes

Puppies are born in my home not in a kennel. They are exposed to normal house hold noises from birth. We play sound CD's, Radio & TV. They are exposed to different toys allowing them to experience different textures & materials. We handle puppies daily so they are used to being touched. Once bigger and outside they are introduced to other dogs and a range of surfaces.

Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?

Yes

I sell all pet/companions on limited register and encourage desexing at a suitable age. I have a puppy buyer questionnaire on my website. I like to interact and get to know my puppy buyers prior to purchase so like to think that its better then any interview. I will always make myself available for for questions and advice for the life of the puppy.

Question. Is ensuring that your puppies go to the right home a high priority? What type of measures do you take to ensure your dogs and puppies are going to go to loving homes?

Yes

Puppies first contact and questions tell me alot about the person usually. Those who take the time to tell me about themselves and what they are looking for give me a good insight into the type of people they are. One liner sms or emails tell me nothing and usually get ignored. I like to build a rapore with new families and I find those who are willing to give that time make ideal families.

Yes

Question. Do you offer pet insurance?

I don't have insurance on my dogs as I have never found a company that offers much to breeders or is cost effective for multiple animals.

Question. Do you assist the buyer with re-homing an animal that was purchased from you if they are unable to keep it?

Yes

Will always assist to re home and have taken them back in some situations. Its important to me that my puppies no matter the age are in a good environment.
