Poplar Grove Miniature Donkey Stud is situated in Drouin South, rich dairy belt in the heart of Gippsland, Victoria. This is our hobby, we aim to improve the breed and ensure the best homes for our select babies. We are committed to a small number of breeding stock, aiming at all times for quality not quantity. Our select Mediterranean Miniature Jacks & Jennies, have been chosen for their breeding, conformation and temperament to ensure progeny of the highest standard.

We are a small boutique stud. This is not just a caption - but a reality. All our donkeys we guarantee are ohh so friendly, no catching - they walk to you ... Imprinted at birth, vaccinated, registered and ready to cuddle you. Look at our pics to see some of our gorgeous foals... We intentionally only have a small number of stock - so we ensure our animals have daily interaction, and that we have the time for each animal to meet our high standards of animal husbandry and training. ALL our foals are well handled, lead, are regularly wormed & have their feet trimmed and come to you as such; prepared for their new homes.
Our donkeys at our stud & the foals as they arrive; are listed on our website with their Full Stud Names & Pedigrees. We are extremely proud of our stock. We want YOU to see at a glance the quality, genetics and breeding that our donkeys have been Individually Selected for - it took years of searching. .......... We want to show them off to You !
When you apply to us about one of our donkeys, be it a baby or a mature animal; we will send you complete photos of them on lead showing their full conformation. And we will give you our honest critique of their conformation temperament etc.

We welcome inspections - we want you to come and see our stunning foals. Their wonderful cuddly temperaments, and that of their parents ie. The sire and dam whose genetics imparted that temperament and conformation. Easy access for interstate travel & only about an hour out of Melbourne just off the M1. Great for local pick-up !
Come and see for yourself how quiet, loving & well conformed our miniature donkeys are. View their heights, colors and sneak a cuddle. Our stud - the breeding facilities, stables & paddocks all reflect the care, time & pride we have in our animals.
