Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Answer. Yes.I do an entire breed profile for my Ragdolls and British. Some of these tests include HCM, PKD and FALPS. I also test for FIV and FeLV. All cats are given a respiratory PCR test upon arrival and going into quarantine.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Answer. Yes.My kittens are handled from their day or birth and every day until they leave. I spend time with them every day ensuring they have adequate environmental age appropriate enrichment.

Placement & matching

Question. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.I ask potential adopters about their work schedule, ages of any children, if they have any pets, is so what, and if they’re in a rental home or own home.
Question. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide?
Answer. Yes.We provide a genetic and health guarantee. All kittens leave with age appropriate vaccinations (all), they’re microchipped and desexed. This is non negotiable.

Insurance options

Question. Do you offer pet insurance?
Answer. No.We do not provide pet insurance. There are that many types of insurance to choose from we prefer that the pet buyer choose who they wish to go through. Due to working in the veterinary industry, we can answer the questions you may have about this.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Answer. Yes.I have offered lifetime support from day one.
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a kitten or cat if for some reason the new family are unable to care for it?
Answer. Yes.In my sales agreement the buyer must agree should a circumstance ever arise where they cannot keep the animal I bred, then I will take the animal back or assist them with finding a new home.

Clubs & Associations

Question. Are you a current member of any breed clubs and/or associations?
Answer. Yes.Member of GCCFSA. Member of FASA. Member of ANCATS. Member of TICA. Member of WCF.
