Talari Bengals

Bengal Cat Breeder - Glenorie NSW

Talari Bengals is a small, intentional Bengal cattery based in the Hills District of Sydney, where every litter is a considered decision.

We are members of the NSWCFA and breed under the mentorship of Wild Valley Bengals, one of Australia's most respected Bengal lines. From pairing selection through to the moment a kitten leaves for its new home, everything is guided by health, temperament, and long term welfare.

Our queens are health tested, carefully matched, and raised as cherished members of our household. Kittens are socialised from birth in a family environment, handled daily, and each placement is made with genuine care and consideration.

Our cattery is show active, with Kiki taking out Best in Section and Best of Breed at the 2026 Sydney Royal Easter Show.

If you are dreaming of a Bengal kitten raised with genuine care and attention, we would love to hear from you. We know the right kitten placed with the right family makes all the difference, for the kitten and for you.

Unhurried. Uncompromising. Unmistakable Bengals.

Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Answer. Yes.Bengal-specific health testing includes PK Deficiency and PRA-b DNA screening, as well as cardiac screening for HCM. All Talari queens are currently clear by parentage, having been bred from health tested lines. Individual DNA and cardiac screening for our queens is conducted annually, with results made available to prospective buyers as part of our standard kitten placement process, once available.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Answer. Yes.Talari kittens are raised in the heart of our home from birth, handled daily by everyone in the household and gradually introduced to the full living environment as they grow. Early exposure to the sights, sounds, and rhythms of a busy family home is the foundation of the calm, confident temperament our breed is capable of at its best. Before placement, new families receive comprehensive guidance on continuing socialisation at home, with full care information available on our website. We remain available to our kitten families long after they leave us.

Placement & matching

Question. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.Finding the right home for each kitten is something we take seriously. All prospective buyers complete an application and are personally interviewed, either by phone or in person, before a placement is confirmed. We are looking for the right fit for the kitten as much as for the family. All placements are supported by a written contract which includes a return to breeder clause. No Talari kitten will ever need to enter rescue.
Question. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide?
Answer. Yes.All Talari kitten placements are supported by a written Kitten Sale Agreement covering conditions of sale, purchase price, deposit terms, and a twelve month genetic health guarantee against hereditary or congenital conditions. Every kitten leaves us desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, vet checked, and with pedigree papers, a care information pack, and a starter pack. Buyers are required to have the kitten examined by a veterinarian within fourteen days of collection. The agreement includes a lifetime return to breeder clause. We remain available for guidance and support across every area of the cat’s life, for as long as it is needed.

Insurance options

Question. Do you offer pet insurance?
Answer. No.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Answer. Yes.Ongoing support is something we take seriously at Talari Bengals. Guidance is available across all areas of cat ownership including health, behaviour, nutrition, and integration with other animals, for the lifetime of the cat.
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a kitten or cat if for some reason the new family are unable to care for it?
Answer. Yes.Absolutely. Our Kitten Sale Agreement includes a lifetime return to breeder clause. If circumstances change at any point, Talari Bengals will always support the owner in finding the best outcome for the cat, whether that means return to us or assisted rehoming where needed. We ask that no Talari cat ever be surrendered to a third party or shelter without contacting us first.
