Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Answer. Yes.Yes. All of my breeding cats undergo the recommended health screening for Ragdolls before entering my breeding program. This includes DNA testing for HCM and PKD, regular veterinary health examinations, and screening for FeLV and FIV. I also perform cardiac ultrasounds (echocardiograms) where appropriate. Only healthy cats with suitable results are used for breeding. Copies of relevant health test results are available to buyers upon request, and I am transparent about the health history of my breeding cats.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Answer. Yes.Yes. My kittens are raised inside my home in a family environment and are handled daily from an early age. They are exposed to normal household activities, people, grooming, nail trimming, and age-appropriate enrichment to help them develop into confident, well-socialised pets. Before going to their new homes, I provide owners with guidance on settling in, nutrition, healthcare, and ongoing socialisation to ensure a smooth transition and continued positive development.

Placement & matching

Question. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.Yes. Finding the right home for each kitten is one of my highest priorities. I communicate with potential owners to discuss their lifestyle, previous pet experience, family situation, and expectations to ensure the kitten is a suitable match. I also provide ongoing guidance before adoption and reserve the right to decline a sale if I believe the home is not suitable.
Question. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide?
Answer. Yes.Each buyer receives a written sales contract, health records, vaccination and microchip information, pedigree (where applicable), desexing information, and a kitten care guide covering feeding, grooming, healthcare, litter training, and settling into a new home. I also explain my health guarantee and after-sales support.

Insurance options

Question. Do you offer pet insurance?
Answer. Yes.Yes. I provide complimentary pet insurance through Petcover from Knose for six weeks from the date the kitten goes to its new home. This gives new owners peace of mind while they arrange their own ongoing pet insurance if they choose.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Answer. Yes.Yes. I provide lifelong support to my kitten owners. I am available to assist with introductions to other pets, nutrition, behaviour, health concerns, grooming, and general care. Owners are encouraged to contact me at any time if they have questions or need advice, and I am committed to supporting every kitten throughout its life.
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a kitten or cat if for some reason the new family are unable to care for it?
Answer. Yes.Yes. If, at any stage of the cat’s life, the owner is no longer able to care for it, I ask that they contact me first. I will assist in finding a suitable new home or, where appropriate, take the cat back. I am committed to ensuring every cat I breed is safe and well cared for throughout its lifetime.
