Merliashaz Bengals: Located right in Mill Park, we are a small, high-standard in-home cattery and are fully registered with TICA (00206357) and ANCATS (23932).

We strictly DNA test our cats via UC Davis for PRA-b, PK Deficiency, and PKD1.

In 2025, We imported one of the very few Cinnamons and Red Bengals in Australia from NZ. Our focus has to been to add new and more genetics and colours to Australian Bengals. These are exceptional cats and there is nothing else like it in Australia.

We offer entire cats to selected other registered breeders only.

We breed exceptional Bengals in a wide variety of colors--including richly rufoused Rosetted Browns (of ALL shades), Silvers (with no tarnish), Seal Lynx Points (Snows), Minks.

AND since 2025 have added a specialized program for Red, Cinnamon, and Torbie variations. These are from award-winning international bloodline backgrounds.

Our Kittens are raised directly free range inside our home and underfoot for high-level socialization and a loving healthy environment. They also have outside access to a large cat run.

We ship Australia-wide to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Hobart, Darwin, Canberra and beyond. Pre-booking deposits are now open for 2026 litters.

Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Answer. Yes.We DNA tests our cats using UC Davis, we currently test for; Erythrocyte Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PK Deficiency) Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD1) Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA-b) (Bengal) and also Cat Coat Color Panel

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Answer. Yes.We have a small, high-standard in-home cattery. All my kittens are born with my close supervision within my bedroom and are raised directly inside the home and underfoot for high-level socialization. They are used to normal household noises, dogs, small children and visitors. I have at least 1-8 cats/kittens on my lap, shoulder or next to me at all times. Often more at night-time sleeping on my bed. Our whole home is their playroom set up with lots of stimulation through out it.

Placement & matching

Question. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.Ensuring our kittens go to the right, loving homes is one of our top priorities. We learn about lifestyle, experience, and the environment the kitten will be joining. This helps us match each kitten’s personality with a family where they’ll thrive. We’re always happy to offer advice and guidance, both before and after your kitten goes home, to make sure they settle in comfortably and receive the care, attention, and enrichment they need to grow into happy, healthy Bengals. We ensure each family is given full details on how to best welcome their new kitten into their home, along with information on the best food, litter trays, worming and follow up vaccination requirements. We also ensure each owner understands their kittens personalities to ensure a smooth transition.
Question. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide?
Answer. Yes.We follow the Code of Ethics as set by our Cat Association as well as the International Association

Insurance options

Question. Do you offer pet insurance?
Answer. Yes.Looking into - Knose Pet Insurance, can offer complimentary insurance activation for new kitten owners if you choose. A friendly team member from Knose will be in touch to discuss insurance options tailored to your kitten.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Answer. Yes.We are always here for ongoing support, even after your kitten has gone home. Whether you need advice on introducing your new Bengal to other pets, settling them into their new environment, or help with any behavioural challenges that might arise, we’re only a message or call away. Our goal is to make sure both you and your kitten have the smoothest transition possible, and we’re more than happy to offer guidance throughout your journey together. Once you adopt a kitten from us, you become part of our extended Bengal family
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a kitten or cat if for some reason the new family are unable to care for it?
Answer. Yes.We are more than happy to assist with re-homing of a kitten or cat and can guide the owners of the best course to take. AND have done so in the past.
