Fluffyrags Ragdolls is a boutique, home-based cattery founded by Michael and Anthony, driven by a lifelong passion for the Ragdoll breed. Michael's connection to Ragdolls began in childhood, growing up with these gentle felines and influenced by his grandmother, a dedicated Ragdoll breeder. Together, Michael and Anthony have combined their extensive knowledge and love for animals to establish a breeding program that honours the breed's origins and ensures the health and happiness of each kitten.
Our Mission
Our primary goal is to breed healthy, affectionate, and well-socialised Ragdoll kittens that embody the true essence of the breed. We are committed to preserving the original Ragdoll lines, including the Traditional and Cherubim varieties (Mink, Sepia, and Solid), which trace back to the foundation cats of Ann Baker. By maintaining these lines, we aim to keep the rich history and full expression of the Ragdoll breed alive in Australia.
What Sets Us Apart
- Diverse Pedigree Lines: Our breeding cats come from prestigious imported lines from New Zealand, Canada, the USA, Austria, and Poland, ensuring genetic diversity and robust health.
- Comprehensive Genetic Testing: We conduct extensive DNA screening for all breeding cats, testing for a wide range of diseases and traits, including HCM and PKD.
- Home-Raised Kittens: All kittens are raised in our home, receiving constant love and socialisation, resulting in confident and affectionate companions.
- Full Veterinary Care: Kittens are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for fleas and worms before adoption.
- Lifetime Support: Adopting a Fluffyrags kitten means joining our extended family, with ongoing support and guidance throughout your cat's life.
- Starter Packs & Insurance: Each kitten comes with a care pack, food samples, a care guide, health guarantee contract, and four weeks of complimentary pet insurance.
Our Breeding Philosophy
We are deeply committed to ethical breeding practices that prioritise the health and well-being of our cats. Our focus includes both Traditional and Cherubim Ragdolls (Mink, Sepia, and Solid), preserving the full range of colours and coat types originally developed by the breed's founder, Ann Baker. We actively collaborate with other ethical breeders to promote awareness and appreciation of all accepted Ragdoll types across Australia.
