Sherorabel Belgian Shepherds

Belgian Shepherd Dog Breeder - Queensland

Sherorabel Belgian Shepherds is located in South East Queensland, where we proudly exhibit two varieties of the Belgian Shepherd -- the beautiful Tervueren and Malinois. We hope to introduce the Groenendael variety to our kennel in the future.

I have been involved with this wonderful breed for over 17 years, developing a deep understanding and appreciation of the Belgian Shepherd and its unique qualities.

Our dogs are health tested and regularly participate in obedience training and structured training at home. We believe that Belgian Shepherds thrive with clear structure, consistent training and positive guidance. These foundations help our dogs develop the confidence, manners and skills required both in the show ring and as well-rounded family companions.

Our dogs are raised as part of the family and are accustomed to being around children and everyday household environments.

Our Puppies

Our puppies will be raised with a strong focus on health, socialisation, confidence and temperament. Each puppy will be:

- Registered
- Microchipped
- Vaccinated
- DNA tested
- Well socialised and exposed to a variety of everyday experiences

Our breeding program aims to produce versatile Belgian Shepherds with the structure, temperament, intelligence and working ability to enjoy a variety of activities.

We believe our puppies have the potential to excel in Conformation, Agility, Obedience and Herding, as well as being wonderful companions for active and committed families.

At Sherorabel, our goal is to preserve the qualities we love about the Belgian Shepherd while raising healthy, confident and well-rounded dogs that can be enjoyed both in the show ring and at home.

Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? If your breed is prone to health issues, what are they, and what testing practices do you have in place?
Answer. Yes.DNA Testing of dogs and puppies. Hips and elbow scores

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?
Answer. Yes.All puppies are well socialised

Placement & matching

Question. Is making sure your puppies go to the right homes a priority? How do you ensure they are placed in loving, responsible homes?
Answer. Yes.Yes, finding the right home for each of our puppies is one of our highest priorities. We believe that bringing a Belgian Shepherd into your family is a long-term commitment, and it is important that each puppy is matched with a home that is suited to their individual personality, temperament and needs. We take the time to get to know prospective families and discuss their lifestyle, experience with dogs, expectations and what they are hoping to do with their puppy. We want to ensure that families understand the commitment involved in raising and training a Belgian Shepherd and are prepared to provide the time, structure, exercise, training and companionship this wonderful breed requires. Our puppies are raised with plenty of handling, socialisation and exposure to everyday family life. As they develop, we get to know their individual personalities and characteristics, which helps us make the best possible match between each puppy and their new family. We remain available to our puppy families throughout their dog's life and are always happy to provide guidance, support and advice. Our priority is not simply finding homes for our puppies, but finding the right homes where they will be loved, valued and given every opportunity to thrive.
Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.Our aim is to ensure every Sherorabel puppy is placed in a loving, responsible and suitable home where they will be cared for throughout their lifetime. We believe open communication is important, and we encourage prospective families to ask questions and have an honest discussion with us before making a commitment to one of our puppies. Prospective puppy buyers may be asked to complete a buyer questionnaire and participate in a personal conversation. This allows us to learn more about their lifestyle, previous experience with dogs, family circumstances and what they are looking for in a Belgian Shepherd.

Insurance options

Question. Do you offer pet insurance?
Answer. No.No ,pet insureance is offered.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support?
Answer. Yes.We offer full support to our puppy buyer throughout there puppies lifetime.
Question. Do you assist the buyer with re-homing an animal that was purchased from you if they are unable to keep it?
Answer. Yes.Where possible, we will assist with re-homing the dog or help find a suitable new home, taking into consideration the dog's temperament, age, training and individual needs. We would much rather be contacted for help than have one of our dogs placed in an unsuitable situation. Our puppies and dogs remain part of the Sherorabel family, and we are committed to providing support and guidance to our owners throughout the dog's lifetime. Our goal is simple — every Sherorabel dog deserves a safe, loving and permanent home. It is a big part of our committment to our breeding is that the puppy/dog comes back to us for rehoming.
