Breeding for Health and temperament. I have owned papillons for over 20 years. All my papillons are tested for all genetic dispositions common to the breed. To me health and temperament are important firsts. All my Papillons live indoors and are members of the family.
I love to show and can talk for hours about this exquisite breed. I am a small kennel and will occasionally have quality puppies for forever homes.

Health testing & screening
Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? If your breed is prone to health issues, what are they, and what testing practices do you have in place?
Answer. Yes.I DNA test my Papillion's for: Neuroaxonal Dystrophy, Von Willebrands, Retinal Atrophy PRA1, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 1 - PRA, Factor VII and Chondropdyspasia CDPA & Chondrodystrophy CDDY and IVDD
Preparation & socialisation
Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?
Answer. Yes.I socialise my puppies by raising them in the center of my home, creating an enriched environment, with textures, sounds and shapes, lots of handling, allowing children of various ages to handle, socializing with my other papillons when old enough.
Placement & matching
Question. Is making sure your puppies go to the right homes a priority? How do you ensure they are placed in loving, responsible homes?
Answer. Yes.I screen the prospective owners, and will request things like photos of them, their home, their other pets and the garden including fencing. I will also check references if requested like chat to their vet.
Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.All my puppies are fully vet checked before going to their new homes, I recommend that new owners take the puppies to their vets as soon as possible to register them with a vet and to verify the health check of my own vet. I offer a 7 day refund policy less costs, and will take the pup back after 7 days, but any refund agreed will be after I find the pup a suitable home. I will always take a pup back for holidays. I will always discuss desexing with prospective owners. I always like to chat a few times on the phone or meet in person before finalizing any sale.

Answer. Yes.I use Trupanion 30 days free insurance
Ongoing support
Question. Do you offer ongoing support?
Answer. Yes.I will always offer support, the new owners become part of the family and I am happy to chat on the phone, email or in person about any queries or help that they need. I am also happy to take the pup back for holidays.
Question. Do you assist the buyer with re-homing an animal that was purchased from you if they are unable to keep it?
Answer. Yes.I will always take the papillon back and help with rehoming
