At our boutique cattery, we are proud to raise exquisite British blue shorthair kittens in a loving environment. Our kittens come from the direct prestigious Avon cattery bloodline, which has been established for over 30 yrs.

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Answer. Yes.British blues can get obesity, diabetes, HCM, PKD, FIP & joint issues. Dental care is essential.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Answer. Yes.We spend time with our cats, they are socialised, I work from home and have clients coming and going, most of my clients come in to find the cats while they are here to give them some love As well as my family.

Answer. Yes.Each kitten is sold with written information outlining the conditions of sale and a health guarantee. New owners are also provided with guidance on the care and maintenance of the British Shorthair breed, including feeding, grooming, parasite control, vaccination schedules and general health care. We are always happy to offer ongoing advice and support to our kitten families.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Answer. Yes.Yes. I am happy to provide ongoing support to new owners. This includes advice on introducing kittens to other pets, helping them settle into their new homes, and assistance with any health or behavioural questions that may arise. I encourage new owners to stay in contact and reach out if they need guidance at any time.
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a kitten or cat if for some reason the new family are unable to care for it?
Answer. Yes.Yes. If at any stage a family is unable to continue caring for one of my cats, I ask that they contact me so I can assist with re-homing or help find a suitable new home. The welfare of the cats I breed is very important to me.
