Breed clubs, Pet Groups & Associations - Ferntree Gully, VIC

Established in 1962, the Feline Control Council Victoria Inc. (FCCV) is a well-respected feline registration council in Victoria and a proud member body of the Co-Ordinating Cat Council of Australia (CCCA). With a strong and active membership, the FCCV is dedicated to promoting the welfare of cats, the improvement of feline standards, responsible breeding and exhibition practices, and fostering good sportsmanship among its members.

The FCCV maintains a comprehensive database of registered cats and kittens, including pedigrees and microchip records, and oversees recognised standards for 43 pedigreed cat breeds. Its Committee of Management--comprising nine members--focuses on breed standards, genetics, breeding protocols, compliance with Animal Welfare Victoria as an Applicable Organisation, and training for judges and stewards.

With four affiliated clubs and breed societies, the FCCV hosts friendly, inclusive cat shows and educational sessions to keep members informed about their responsibilities under the Code of Practice and current regulations.
