Liberty Foundation Australia

Pet Rescue & Adoption, Animal welfare - Wyong NSW

Liberty Foundation Australia is a registered not-for-profit charity dedicated to the release, rehabilitation and rehoming of animals retired from research establishments.

Since 2017, we've helped hundreds of animals leave research behind and become companions and family pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice and fish.

In 2026, we opened our first adoption centre at Wyong on the Central Coast of NSW, caring for rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and mice.

When large numbers of animals come out of a research establishment at once, we often turn to foster carers - people in the community who take animals into their homes for a temporary period while a permanent one is found.

If you've ever thought about caring for small animals and have the time and space to share, you're warmly invited to get in touch whenever you're ready.
