Rare Snowshoe Cats - Bonded Pair

Snowshoe Kittens & Cats Available Now - Abermain NSW

Lilly and Casanova are a bonded pair (Grandmother and Grandson). Lilly is a Seal Tortoiseshell Point Bicolour and Cassie is a Seal Point Bicolour. Lilly is a retired breeding girl and originally I had planned for her to stay with me as a pet because I couldn't bear to part with her, she's extremely special to me. Cassie is Lilly's grandson. At 4 months of age, Cassie had a medical episode, experiencing a vestibular disorder, so I made the decision to keep him for a few months to monitor is development. He was regularly health checked by vets and made a rapid recovery. However, he has a residual slight head tilt, but this doesn't slow him down at all. Cassie was adopted out as a young adult but his new owner's circumstances changed and was unable to continue to care for him so he was returned to us. When Cassie returned, he and Lilly developed such a strong bond and I made the difficult choice to rehome them together. They adore each other and they are both extremely affectionate.

Lilly is a very sweet, gentle and affectionate girl. She is very sensitive and is extremely shy with strangers. For this reason, she will need to have a quiet and child free home. Lilly will need a lot of support to adjust to a new home with patient family members. Once you have her trust you will be rewarded with soft meows, purrs and affectionate kitty cuddles.

Cassie is strong and confident boy, but a little shy to start with. When he gets excited he will spin in circles due to his head tilt. He is very vocal and loves to tell you what's on his mind especially if he wants your attention.
Lilly and Cassie have enjoyed the benefits of a cat enclosure that allows them to bask in the sun and fresh air.
They are looking for a new family with no other pets or young children. Their new family must be committed to the settling in period to allow these two gorgeous kitties to feel comfortable in their new home. If you would to discuss the option of adopting Lilly and Cassie, please contact Kerri on 0435 123 125.

Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Answer. Yes.I regularly have my breeding cats and kittens vet checked and do all testing recommended by the vet.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Answer. Yes.Kittens are born in my bedroom and are handled daily from birth. Kittens are then socialised with other cats and family members as they grow.

Answer. Yes.I screen potential families and ask a series of questions regarding their experience and knowledge of cats and specifically the breed. I speak with them on the phone multiple times and meet them face to face where possible.
