Too hot for you, Too hot for your Pup!

Remember to walk on grass or during the cooler part of the day. If it's too hot for our bare feet then it's too hot for our pups paws.

During the hotter months its really important that you think about when and where you walk your dog.  When it's 30 Deg C (86 Deg F), asphalt can reach 60 Deg C (140 Deg F).   Sidewalks, concrete paths and pavements are similar and as many of us know, sand also heats up and can burn after just a few steps.

If in doubt, test with your hand or your own bare foot.  If it's too hot for you it's too hot for your dog.   Best solution is to walk early in the morning or late at night. This will also help avoid some of the other dangers of heat stress that can affect your pup.
