Emmett is a handsome boy with a sleek short tabby coat and the softest, warmest presence. While he may not have unusual markings, what makes Emmett truly special is his heart. He's affectionate, gentle, bright, loyal, and wonderfully people-friendly, the kind of cat who forms deep bonds and becomes your constant companion.
Emmett's journey hasn't been easy. Three years ago, he was heartbreakingly listed for sale online with photos showing him being abused and mishandled. He was rescued and given a second chance, eventually finding a loving home with a devoted adopter. Sadly, after a long battle with cancer, his adopter passed away, and due to family allergies, Emmett once again finds himself searching for a forever home. Despite all he has been through, and likely multiple homes before his rescue, Emmett remains calm, good-natured, and full of love.
His foster describes him as a super snuggler, perfectly patient, and truly a best friend. Emmett doesn't just sit on your lap, he's a chest snuggler who tucks himself into your neck and wants to be as close to his person as possible. He loves to play, especially with teaser toys and anything he can grab and wrestle, and he's clever enough to open cupboard doors when curiosity strikes! Emmett has no behavioural issues and is great with children, but he would prefer to be the only cat in the home (dogs unknown). He does have IBD, which will need ongoing management, but it doesn't stop him from being a loving, playful, devoted companion.
Emmett has lost his person through no fault of his own. What he longs for now is stability, closeness, and someone to love with his whole heart. If you're looking for a faithful friend who will snuggle into your neck and stay by your side, Emmett is ready to be your forever best friend.

To adopt from us you'll be required to have minimum an online meet & greet, a remote house check, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Our animals are fully vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being advertised. They are evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and any known issues are communicated. NOT NEGOTIABLE CONDITIONS: indoor only/restrained to property & must be fed raw or vet prescription wet food.
We will communicate through every step of the process to ensure that the experience is excellent and your feline companion is the right fit. Read the contract for T&Cs for returns.
You must have residency in Australia to adopt from our group. If you are visiting or on a visa, talk to us about fostering instead!
