Good Dog is a professional dog training and behaviour consultancy, born and based in Melbourne. Our mission is simple - to make dog training accessible and fun and easy to understand so that Melbourne's dogs get to go more places, more often.
We love what we do - every day, we are given the opportunity to be invited into the homes of Melbourne's dogs and their people to see first hand the results of goals realised through improved communication, a little understanding of how dogs learn and better relationships, making living together easier.
We work with all kinds of dogs and their families, and our focus on private training ensures that even the busiest professionals with the tightest schedules can make the most of our services, and all in the comfort of their own homes.
We offer private training in the following ways:
Private Coaching
Our most popular option and is designed to teach you how to train your dog. We come in and work collaboratively with you in the convenience of your own home and around your neighbourhood to create practical, real life training situations specific to the needs and goals of both you and your dog.
Private Coaching is a great choice for the handler and dog team that want a one-on-one approach to get on the right track.
Day Training
This is a fantastic option for those who want everything that comes with having a well-trained dog but are short on time. Whilst you're at work, we train your dog in your home and/or neighbourhood and then teach you the necessary skills to maintain the training for the long haul. A typical day-training program consists of 2-3 hourly sessions per week with a handover session at the end of your dogs time with us to show you what your dog has learned.
You are not required to be present except for the handover sessions however you're not completely 'hands-off'. You will still need to put some work in if your dog is to listen and behave for you at the end of the program.
Online Courses
We offer a collection of online dog training courses and videos that we have put together to provide you with the guidance and advice needed to help you and your dog get to a better place with training - all from the comfort of your own home. Learn at your own pace and in your own space.
