Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? If your breed is prone to health issues, what are they, and what testing practices do you have in place?
Answer. Yes.All my breeding dogs have a full profile test with Orivet so that I am sure that they do not have any health issues and that I can plan litters carefully with the knowledge around their particular traits.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?
Answer. Yes.All our puppies are socialized appropriately according to their age. Under 6 weeks they are keep warm and secure and are cuddled and a handled with love. Once they have had their first vaccination at 6 weeks and have been microchipped they start spending some time outside and come into contact with lot of other sounds, dogs and other people.

Placement & matching

Question. Is making sure your puppies go to the right homes a priority? How do you ensure they are placed in loving, responsible homes?
Answer. Yes.I would always want to know what sort of home they can provide, the yard and secure fencing. What they are looking for in a dog and whether a Miniature Pinscher is a fit. Whether they have other dogs or have had experience with other dogs. I would want to make it clear that as a pet they would need to be desexed at the appropriate age.
Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.Our puppies are sold as pet and must be desexed at the appropriate age. There is a lot of information sent out to families after a phone conversation has taken place to ascertain suitability. Information includes preparing for the arrival of your new pup which will include information on food, training and settling into their new homes. All puppies come with a settle-in bag with samples of the food they will have been eating, information on caring for a new pup, toy, lead, collar and vet health record.

Insurance options

Question. Do you offer pet insurance?
Answer. Yes.To help your new puppy settle into your home all our puppies come; vaccinated, microchipped, veterinarian health checked, DogsNSW registration, Trupanion pet insurance, and puppy packs, information and support about your Miniature Pinscher. We always love our pups to be picked up so you can meet the parents by we are also happy to fly interstate at the cost of the buyer.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support?
Answer. Yes.We are always here to offer support at any point for our Miniature Pinschers.
Question. Do you assist the buyer with re-homing an animal that was purchased from you if they are unable to keep it?
Answer. Yes.Yes. It is important that our dogs are always in the best possible home.
