Mary came into care as part of a colony trapping effort. Shortly after entering rescue, she gave birth to kittens, with only one surviving -- and since then, she has been quietly learning that life with humans can be safe, gentle and full of care.
A soft and beautiful grey and white domestic medium hair, Mary is a calm, sensitive soul who is still finding her confidence. She has a gentle presence and a quiet nature, often preferring to observe before fully relaxing, but it's clear just how much she wants connection and affection.
Mary absolutely loves having people around and leans into affection once she feels safe. Gentle face scratches are her favourite, and in those moments she shows her sweetest side -- even dribbling a little with contentment, which is one of her endearing quirks. She is a cat who is learning how to communicate and trust, and sometimes she may give a small swipe when overstimulated or unsure, so she needs someone who can read her cues and respect her boundaries.
She would do best in a calm, patient adult-only home where she can continue to build confidence at her own pace. Loud noises can startle her, so a quieter environment will help her feel secure. Mary gets along with other cats and may benefit from a gentle, confident companion. She may be okay with the right dog, but introductions would need to be slow and considered.
Mary has previously had a major dental and is otherwise a healthy girl. With time, patience and understanding, she will continue to blossom into a loving and loyal companion. For someone willing to go at her pace, the reward will be a deeply special bond with a cat who truly just wants to be loved.

To adopt from us you'll be required to have minimum an online meet & greet, a remote house check, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Our animals are fully vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being advertised. They are evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and any known issues are communicated. NOT NEGOTIABLE CONDITIONS: indoor only/restrained to property & must be fed raw or vet prescription wet food.
We will communicate through every step of the process to ensure that the experience is excellent and your feline companion is the right fit. Read the contract for T&Cs for returns.
You must have residency in Australia to adopt from our group. If you are visiting or on a visa, talk to us about fostering instead!
