Chloe - Likes Dogs and Kids

Chloe came into care after being rescued from the Lost Dogs Home in North Melbourne, where she had arrived with a litter of kittens and was recovering from being desexed. From day one, she showed herself to be an exceptionally affectionate, people-focused girl who settled quickly and confidently with her humans. Chloe has lived in a multi-cat household, where she has generally gotten along with the other cats, though her bold and confident nature means she sometimes overwhelms more reserved feline personalities. After the introduction of a third cat, ongoing tension and inappropriate toileting behaviour developed, leading to the very difficult decision for her family to surrender her so she can find a home that better suits her needs.

Chloe is a striking Domestic Short Hair with a medium-length coat, mainly white with black markings. She enjoys her food a little too much and is currently heavier than ideal, but this just adds to her soft, cuddly presence. She is affectionate, chatty, bossy in the sweetest way, and wonderfully loyal to her people. Her top talents include being super snuggly, deeply people-oriented, and an enthusiastic cuddle companion.

Chloe loves food, snuggles, and still has a playful kitten streak, often batting toys around with surprising enthusiasm. She is usually first to the food bowl and never shy about reminding you when it's mealtime. She dislikes toileting in standard litter tray setups and can be a little nervous around certain cats, especially those who don't appreciate her confident energy. Chloe is selective with other cats but is good with dogs and children. She is known for enthusiastically "forcing" cuddles by climbing onto her humans using their arms like tree branches -- a behaviour that perfectly sums up her affectionate, determined nature.

Chloe would be best suited as the only cat in the home where she can be the centre of attention, or possibly with a very confident, tolerant feline companion after careful introductions. But Chloe gets along well with dogs and children! Funny girl she is. She is a wonderful, loving cat and a reluctant surrender through no fault of her own. Chloe is deeply devoted to her people and will reward her new family with endless affection, warmth, and companionship.

To adopt from us you'll be required to have minimum an online meet & greet, a remote house check, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Our animals are fully vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being advertised. They are evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and any known issues are communicated. NOT NEGOTIABLE CONDITIONS: indoor only/restrained to property & must be fed raw or vet prescription wet food.
We will communicate through every step of the process to ensure that the experience is excellent and your feline companion is the right fit. Read the contract for T&Cs for returns.
You must have residency in Australia to adopt from our group. If you are visiting or on a visa, talk to us about fostering instead!
