Dogs for sale Darwin
Before making enquiries to breeders or shelters about a dog or puppy, it's important that you know what you're getting into and understand the needs of the particular breed you're interested in. Do your research and learn as much as you can - see our full dog breed list and breed information. You can try contacting the relevant breed club. They are usually very helpful and one of the best sources of information. Always remember that being responsible for a dog or pup can be demanding. Make sure you have enough time fo give them the love and attention they need or you can end up with not just an unhappy dog, but a dog with difficult, and even dangerous behaviours. For long term health and to avoid negative behaviour it's important that puppies are socialised between 12-18 weeks. If not, you will miss the ''critical socialisation window''.
Dog breeders Darwin
All dog breeders on Perfect Pets are ANKC registered breeders (Dogs NT). We still urge you to read the advice on finding a reputable breeder. Experienced breeders will understand potential health issues in their breed and ensure the sound temperament of their dogs. They also care about their dogs and pups and the home they are going to. You can expect alot of questions from a reputable breeder and they may have checklist that you need to fill out before they will consider letting a pup go to you. Please also consider adoption as there are many advantages to adopting a pup or dog that you may not have thought of. See our list of dog rescues and shelters in Darwin.
