Cherry came into care with her mum Buu and two siblings after the family who found them realised they couldn't keep the litter. Surrendered to Cat People of Melbourne at just five weeks old, she has been growing up safely in foster care alongside her mum and littermates.
Cherry is a gorgeous dark tortie girl with brown, black and ginger marbling and bright, alert eyes. Timid at first, she is still learning to enjoy handling--she can be picked up but prefers to hop away--but she is active, agile, curious, mischievous, fast, shy, and wonderfully bright. Her playful kitten spirit is strongest when she's with her siblings, tumbling, chasing, and inventing games.
Cherry would suit a calm, patient home that understands shy kittens need time to build trust. She is good with other cats and could thrive with or without a confident feline friend. She should do well with gentle children and may tolerate a cat-savvy dog after slow introductions. Her adopter must allow her to warm up at her own pace and continue helping her grow confidence.
Cherry's best features include her sweet timidness, her funny little bursts of naughtiness, and her eagerness to play with her siblings. She enjoys toys, exploring, and the comfort of staying close to her family. She dislikes loud noises and spray bottles.

To adopt from us you'll be required to have minimum an online meet & greet, a remote house check, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Our animals are fully vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being advertised. They are evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and any known issues are communicated. NOT NEGOTIABLE CONDITIONS: indoor only/restrained to property & must be fed raw or vet prescription wet food.
We will communicate through every step of the process to ensure that the experience is excellent and your feline companion is the right fit. Read the contract for T&Cs for returns.
You must have residency in Australia to adopt from our group. If you are visiting or on a visa, talk to us about fostering instead!
