Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Answer. Yes.All queens and studs have DNA testing completed through Orivet

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Answer. Yes.Raised in the home environment and appropriately socialised with household pets and my daughters.. treated as my own pets as soon as they are born and raised with love. Kittens have run of the house once they are litter trained (during the day when we are home) so that they are used to a normal family home environment.

Placement & matching

Question. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.I only allow my kittens to go to families that I believe are going to provide a fantastic forever home. I have a buyer questionnaire for all to complete before going onto a waiting list. I have specific conditions of sale which must be agreed upon by the new family.
Question. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide?
Answer. Yes.All kittens are de-sexed before leaving, and families are interviewed before being offered a kitten. I have a buyer questionnaire for all to complete before going onto a waiting list. I have specific conditions of sale which must be agreed upon by the new family. I guarantee all my kittens are free from genetic diseases, and kittens are health checked by a vet before going to their families.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Answer. Yes.I am available for any questions after the adoption of the kittens for as long as the family needs me. If I don't have the answers to their questions, I can ask my network of experienced breeders for assistance.
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a kitten or cat if for some reason the new family are unable to care for it?
Answer. Yes.I would prefer that the cat be re-homed appropriately and would therefore like to assist with this process.
