MOKAI Mini Schnauzers. I am a small Registered Miniature Schnauzer breeder, just outside the ACT. The dogs are family pets and all live with us in the home as part of the family. I have limited puppies available each year and they all come from excellent blood lines.

Health testing & screening
Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? If your breed is prone to health issues, what are they, and what testing practices do you have in place?
Answer. Yes.We are aware of what is required in the Miniature Schnauzer breed.
Preparation & socialisation
Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?
Answer. Yes.They are socialised with our dogs and people. They are not to be socialised with other dogs unless they are going to puppy class through a vet or have had their final vaccinations.
Placement & matching
Question. Is making sure your puppies go to the right homes a priority? How do you ensure they are placed in loving, responsible homes?
Answer. Yes.We have questions we ask and require the owners to tell us about their homes and what kind of routine they have. They have to tell us why they like this breed.
Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.As a registered breeder there are regulations we must follow in NSW. We also interview all interested parties and have a desexing agreement.
Ongoing support
Question. Do you offer ongoing support?
Answer. Yes.Absolutely, all responsible breeders should offer ongoing support.
Question. Do you assist the buyer with re-homing an animal that was purchased from you if they are unable to keep it?
Answer. Yes.We state clearly that we will take the puppy or dog back for rehoming if their circumstances change.
