GORAEMIST Golden Retrievers is located near the coastal town of Portland, situated on the Vic side of the SA border. Goraemist GR was established in 2012 and we have breeding select litters since this time. Goldies are a passion amongst our family & together we realise just how special this breed truly is.

We aim to breed high quality, intuitive, friendly, loyal best friends to join your family!

Breeder Questionnaire

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? Do you have sensible, sustainable breeding strategies in place to promote the health of your dogs and puppies?

Yes

All breeding Goldies have had all recommended health screenings. Excellent low hip and elbow scores and clear eye and heart certificates. All certificates available for viewing

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?

Yes

Our girls are first and foremost part of our family. When it comes time to have their puppies, they are welcomed into our home to whelp in a nice, clean and cosy environment in our loungeroom. In this environment, the pups quickly become used to being a part of the family and the chaos that goes along with that. As the pups grow and want to explore more, we transition them into the stable. This area gives the pups plenty of room to play and develop their adventurous side, with daytime access to a grassed play area and a warm indoor sheltered area to return to for rest and sleep. Pups have free access to potty areas at all times and are well into their toilet training by 8 weeks of age. We continue to reguarly interact with pups and welcome visitors so that pups can get used to all types of situations.

Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?

Pups will have had full vet checks at 6 weeks. We encourage all pups to be desexed by 18 months unless other arrangements are made. We would like to have a chat to learn a little about you and why you feel a Goldie is right for you.

Question. Is ensuring that your puppies go to the right home a high priority? What type of measures do you take to ensure your dogs and puppies are going to go to loving homes?

Yes

We like to learn a little about you and the lifestyle you will offer one of our pups. We need to ensure that all pups are going to a home that can provide a nice secure yard and that you will be able to provide all the necessities the pup will need throughout life, but most importantly a loving and dedicated relationship with you.
