Health testing & screening
Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? If your breed is prone to health issues, what are they, and what testing practices do you have in place?
Answer. Yes.All dogs have a full DNA breed profile before breeding via OriVet testing services. All our dogs are hip and elbow scored and shoulder xrays also undertaken to rule out any OCD
Preparation & socialisation
Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?
Answer. Yes.Our puppies are raised using the Puppy Culture Technique which includes clicker training. They are also exposed to children, other dogs and cats, noises (such as vacuums, radios, televisions etc etc,) and basic toilet and crate training to start them on their way. We are very hands on with our babies and raise them very much with the best intentions and best start in life. They are fed premium puppy food (Royal Canin) , are raised in pristine conditions and very much a part of our family until they leave to their new families.
Placement & matching
Question. Is making sure your puppies go to the right homes a priority? How do you ensure they are placed in loving, responsible homes?
Answer. Yes.We interview all our puppy homes to discuss their current situation, what they are looking for in a border collie puppy, what future plans they may have and what type of temperament they wish for. We temperament test all of our puppies between week 6 to 8 and only allocate pups to homes we feel are the best match for both puppy and family.
Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.We request an application form be filled in which can be found on our website www.beeceebordercollies.com.
A desexing contract does apply.

Answer. Yes.We would want to know if one of our dogs was to be rehomed and would always work with the owner to find the best outcome for both the dog, the previous owner and the future home.
