Flicker Six - Craving Connection

Flicker Six came into care after being caught in a backyard with her siblings. She's a beautiful medium-floofy tortie with a soft long coat and a little pink spot on her nose that makes even more unique! Her name reflects her beautiful dilute colours as well as her sharp intellect.

Flicker will initially have a settling in time of a week or so on arrival in her home, but will become very affectionate with her Chosen Human(s) the more time and encouragement she gets. She is tolerant of her 5yo human foster sibling and seems to want to get closer. Flicker does lick and nibble your fingers gently, and needs companionship to thrive, while still having an independent nature that means she isn't always in your face. Flicker loves to have your attention, and is more motivated by physical affection or toys than food.

At treat time, Flicker comes forward after the other cats and will take pieces of cooked chicken gently from your hand. While she will initially run and hide if she thinks you're coming her way, with patience, calmness and kindness she will blossom into the companion she clearly wants to be, as she head bumps her way past your head and straight to your heart. She loves a good hidey hole, so needs an enviroment with many jumping spots and spots to look out from. During playtime, Flicker can get a little wild while she chases toys, and is the first to run after that silly red dot - her eyes get wider, she crouches down, wiggles her bottom and jumps!

Flicker is a wonderful candidate as a companion animal, as she will bond strongly and has a consistent nature. Due to this, Flicker is a wonderful candidate for a teenager or young adult with a chronic condition as a lifelong companion. She is good with other cats and would benefit from a confident feline friend to help her feel secure. She would also be best suited to a quieter home with children older than 8 who can give her the space and patience she needs.

To adopt from us you'll be required to have minimum an online meet & greet, a remote house check, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Our animals are fully vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being advertised. They are evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and any known issues are communicated. NOT NEGOTIABLE CONDITIONS: indoor only/restrained to property & must be fed raw or vet prescription wet food.
We will communicate through every step of the process to ensure that the experience is excellent and your feline companion is the right fit. Read the contract for T&Cs for returns.
