I am a small breeder located in Armadale WA. occasionally have litters of Shetland Sheepdogs.

Breeder Questionnaire

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? Do you have sensible, sustainable breeding strategies in place to promote the health of your dogs and puppies?

Yes

I health test all my breeding stock, all dogs are hip/elbow scored, DNA, eye testing. I am aware of the genetic issues relating to my breeds and try to breed accordingly.

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?

Yes

All my babies are raised in my home with interaction with my family and friends and are well socialized with my other dogs, they have a dedicated area for play with lots of different interactive toys to play with.

Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?

Yes

All my puppies are sold with a limited written guarantee against developing any hereditary health defects in the first 6 months of ownership. All my puppies are sold on a non breeding/desexing agreement.

Question. Is ensuring that your puppies go to the right home a high priority? What type of measures do you take to ensure your dogs and puppies are going to go to loving homes?

Yes

meet and greet with the new owners, general questions on the day of visiting, and I always ask them to go and think before committing to buying a new puppy as it is a life time commitment.
